On the G8 2008, the eight countries accepted to aim for a reduction of 50% of greenhouse gases before 2050. George W. Bush finally backed off on his position to not establish objectives without China and India. This agreement is not showing specific numbers for each G8 country nor does it have any reference year for calculation. The innovating idea is that industrialized countries sense the urge to act first on the issue, and plan to bring China and India only after they initiate it.
